The Thank-a-Teacher program is organized by the Center for Teaching and Office of Teaching, Learning & Technology (OTLT), University of Iowa. At the end of every fall and spring semester, the center provides an online process through which students can submit notes of appreciation to exceptional faculty members, lectures or teaching assistants. I received a Thank-a-Teacher note of appreciation for a course on Asian Humanities, which I designed and taught in spring 2021.
Thank you for such a great semester! I really appreciated how thoughtful and understanding you were towards the class's needs, especially how you started every class by asking us how we were and actually listening to our responses. You started the course by making it clear that you cared about us as people, not just as students, and I am so incredibly grateful for that. I’m so appreciative of having had the opportunity to learn from you over these past few months. You are a great teacher, kind and fair, and I have the utmost certainty that you are going to do wonderful things. Thank you for everything, Pranav.
